311 return to Columbus with Ballyhoo!
311 is once again on the road. What's the surprise, right? A band known for
having a great live show is ready to play one of the group's favorite areas to
let loose, central Ohio.

From Omaha, Neb., 311 (Nick Hexum, vocals/guitar; S.A. Martinez,
vocals/turntable; Tim Mahoney, lead guitar; P-Nut, bass; Chad Sexton,
drums) is marking their 20th year as a band. Quite a feat in this age of flavor
of the week hit singles.

Not being a stranger to success, 311 has been able to fly under the radar for
years. Touring consistently, selling albums and creating radio hits all while
keeping a very strong underground, grassroots following.

With only 12 dates on the mid to late October tour of 2010, the band has
been busy with pre-production for a follow-up album to last year's release of
Uplifter. 311 will continue to work on the new album after their final show of
the current tour: Halloween in Atlanta, Georgia. At that show they will play

their major label debut album, Music, in it's entirety, among others.

Tuesday night In Columbus count on hearing familiar songs such as:
"Down," "Amber," "All Mixed Up" and "Beautiful Disaster," as well as the ever
popular "Applied Science," complete with an entire group drum solo. It's a
show you need to see at least once.

Also playing is Aberdeen, Md. band Ballyhoo!--a reggae rock infusion that will
have the place jumpin' in anticipation of the headliners.

Constantly touring, Ballyhoo! know how to take control of a stage and a
crowd. Sick bass lines, funky drum beats, reggae guitar, smooth vocals and
even some scratching from the deejay, they will fit right in with the mood of
the show. Actually, this is not the first time for 311 and Ballyhoo! to be
playing at The LC--March 16, 2008 proved to be an awesome indoor event,
and this one shall be no different.

311 and Ballyhoo! perform Tues. Oct. 19 at The Lifestyles Community
Pavilion (The LC) in Columbus. Tickets are $33.50 in advance and $36 day
of show.
CD101 presents this show with a portion of proceeds benefiting the
Andyman Davis Memorial Fund.
